  • Rapid Metro Gurgaon is a light metro system serving the city of Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
  • It connects commercial areas of Gurgaon and serves as a feeder link to the Delhi Metro, with an interchange at Sikanderpur metro station on the Yellow Line.
  • A 3.2 km metro line between Sikanderpur and National Highway 8 was initially proposed in September 2007.
  • The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) was invited to construct the metro line in 2008.
  • The DLF-IL&FS consortium was the only bidder in a new tender issued in July 2008.
  • The project, conceived as a collaboration between Enso Group, DLF, and IL&FS, was awarded a ₹9 billion contract in July 2009, with a completion timeline of 30 months.
