The Mumbai Metro Blue Line (Line 1) is the city's first operational metro corridor, connecting Versova in the western suburbs to Ghatkopar in the eastern suburbs. Spanning 11.4 km with 12 elevated stations, it significantly reduces travel time between these two points from 90 minutes to just 21 minutes. Line 1 is also equipped with advanced features like automatic fare collection, CCTV surveillance, and air-conditioned coaches, offering a seamless and comfortable travel experience for commuters.
Patna Metro completed its first trial run on the elevated track from Patna Depot to Bhootnath Metro Station, covering 4.5 km through ISBT, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath stations. The fitness trial was conducted at low speed for safety.
Chennai Metro will conduct rail grinding work on the Green and Blue Lines from September 9 to October 19, 2025. Between 5:00β6:30 am, trains will run every 14 minutes instead of 7, after which normal services will resume.
